Exchange visits criss-cross the Mediterranean
The MedPAN South Project was on the move this spring! Algerians, Croatians, Moroccans, Tunisians and Turkish MPA practitioners got the opportunity, to visit some of the most famous MPAs in the Mediterranean. A total of close to 40 professionals took part in these exchanges that aimed to provide a first-hand account of how these successful MPAs are managed.

Sustainable Financing for MPAs in Croatia
As part of the MedPAN South project, directed towards establishing an efficient management of marine protected areas in the Mediterranean, Association Sunce and WWF held a "Sustainable financing in MPAs" workshop in Croatia. The aim of the workshop was to introduce different possibilites for financing of MPAs to the management staff of Croatian marine national and nature parks and to help them create realistical financial plans.

China to reduce carbon intensity by 17% by 2015
Source: China Daily - China will soon release detailed plans on ensuring that its goal for reducing carbon intensity from 2011 to 2015 is attainable, and it has started looking at technical options for cutting carbon dioxide emissions after 2020.
NOWPAP Holds Promotion Event on Ocean Day
